Following three years studying “Law” at Oxford Brookes University and completing my Legal Practice Course at the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice I commenced work with Steele Raymond LLP. I began working for the firm on 6th August 2007 as a Paralegal in the Commercial Property department before commencing my Training Contract in January 2008.
My work with the firm as a Paralegal was spent assisting Sue Middleton on her National Easement transactions. My experiences have included liaising with landowners’ solicitors, drafting Legal Easements, advising clients and general title investigation. Working along side Sue has provided me with a solid basis for my future training together with providing a valuable insight into the Commercial Property field.
I am currently in the first seat of my Training Contract working within the Commercial Property department. I continue to assist Sue with her Gas and Electricity Easement transactions and am finding that my property knowledge is forever improving. In addition, I am now being introduced to several aspects of business Landlord and Tenant and industrial development. This has also included considering the Stamp Duty Land Tax implications on property transactions. Overall, the culture at Steele Raymond LLP is genuinely friendly and welcoming at all levels. Both qualified solicitors and partners have taken an active interest in the quality of my training, work and supervision to date. I am confident that working for Steele Raymond LLP will prepare me well for qualification. |
