I initially joined Steele Raymond LLP in September 2005 after being awarded the “Steele Raymond LLP Prize and Bursary”. I spent time working in the Commercial Dispute Resolution department and the Company/Commercial department where I assisted the partners and solicitors on a variety of matters.
I then returned to university to complete my law degree, graduating with First Class Honours. I subsequently completed my postgraduate studies at the College of Law.
Before commencing my training contract I wanted to take a year out so that I could gain practical experience and travel the world. I worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP for the first half of the year where I assisted on the Lehman Brothers administration from their office in Canary Wharf. This was a great experience and one that I am glad to have been involved in. After finishing at PwC I left England and travelled to south east Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and California. I was able to see and do some amazing things on this trip and it is something I will remember for a long time.
The first seat of my training contract is in the Commercial Property department where I have already been involved in a variety of transactions. I look forward to developing my knowledge in this department and in other areas of law as my training contract progresses. |
