Services: Dispute Resolution The Dispute Resolution team provides specialist and experienced advice in all contentious areas of commercial law, personal injury/medical negligence and private client law as well as in some unusual specialist areas such as aviation and education.
The Dispute Resolution team's approach is team driven to provide solutions and meet client needs. A horses for courses approach is adopted, with members who have specific skills being assigned to those jobs requiring them.
Steele Raymond LLP is quality conscious, the Dispute Resolution team having initiated and directed the firm's accreditation to ISO 9001 standard. Dispute Resolution team members regularly carry out work in the London Courts as well as throughout the UK and are involved in specialist associations such as the Personal Injury Panel, Employment Lawyers’ Association, Society Practitioners in Insolvency and Family Law Association. The Department also has a CEDR accredited mediator.

Recent major cases handled by the Department have involved Transfer of Undertaking Regulations, discrimination involving multiple authorities and commercial contractual cases where costs have been awarded against the opponent. The Department is also regularly involved in resolving complicated disputes without the need for judicial hearings.
The Dispute Resolution team employs the latest computerised systems and regularly acts for national outlets and public authority clients in complex matters. Results and recommendations have resulted in a regular throughput of work and significant growth in the Department over recent years. Charges mirror the firm's standard charges but are sometimes tailored to meet specific situations. In appropriate cases Steele Raymond LLP also offer conditional fee arrangements, but these are currently limited to personal injury matters.
