Steele Raymond hails newly qualified commercial solicitor

18/05/2016

A newly qualified solicitor at Steele Raymond has been hailed as a prime example of the legal talent coming out of Bournemouth University.

Shaun Guppy qualified as a solicitor and joins the corporate and commercial team of the Bournemouth law firm.

Having read law at Bournemouth University, Shaun completed his placement year at Steele Raymond before going on to complete his Legal Practice Course at the university.

Shaun completed his training contract working within the firm’s commercial propertydispute resolution and, most recently, corporate and commercial teams.

“From the moment I joined Steele Raymond during my placement year from Bournemouth University I knew it was a firm where I would like to continue my legal career. Bournemouth University has such a unique and comprehensive legal programme that I felt I had a head start when I joined Steele Raymond for my training contract,” said Shaun who works in the corporate and commercial team.

He added: “Working with clients who are so passionate about their business and helping them achieve their ambitions is what makes being a solicitor so rewarding.”

Tim Stone, Chairman and head of the corporate and commercial team, said:

“Shaun has worked tirelessly whilst he has been at the firm and has grown to be a passionate and practical commercial solicitor who is an asset to us and our clients. Over the years we have had many solicitors working at Steele Raymond who have all trained at the university, some of which are partners at the firm today.  Shaun is a prime example of the journey from university to becoming a solicitor and we see Shaun having a very bright future with the firm.”
