Steele Raymond seminar: Business transformation
by Tim Stone, 19 November 2015
On Wednesday 18 November, Steele Raymond invited a selection of hand-picked local business owners to its Richmond Point offices for a seminar on business transformation and how to drive value into your business.
There is usually a time when business owners need to think about exiting from their business. Wednesday’s seminar provided a comprehensive review of the long term planning required for owners who may be looking at exit strategies now or in the future.
The seminar included a talk from Gordon Matthew, founder of Trend Management Services, who explained how business owners could drive value into their businesses prior to an exit. Gordon emphasised that any business transformation needs to be based on sustainable growth, he said: “If a transformation is not sustainable it’s not successful.”
Gordon has worked with Steele Raymond since 1999 through a range of businesses and positions covering many aspects of commercial law. He commented: “Steele Raymond can really help business owners throughout the whole life cycle of their businesses.”
The final key speaker of the evening was Matt Cusack, Financial Director at the Arden Group who talked through why the careful preparation was so important to the sale process and ultimately the price.
The feedback from all attendees was very positive and the team is looking forward to hosting a further series of seminars over the coming months.
