Five key promotions at law firm Steele Raymond LLP

Steele Raymond LLP has announced further key promotions as part of its continuing commitment to recognising and promoting talent within the firm.

The promotions include a partner, a senior associate and three associates at the firm’s office in Bournemouth.

Family solicitor and mediator Lindsay Halliwell has been promoted to partner, becoming the firm’s 16th member of the LLP. Lindsay joined the firm in 2014 and now becomes the second partner within the family team, alongside head of Family Daniel Sanders.

Lindsay has substantial experience in all areas of divorce and separation matters, including issues relating to child arrangements, with particular expertise in one of the most complex family law areas relating to the division of assets for separated unmarried couples.

Lindsay is also an accredited Family Mediator and recommended as a ‘Rising Star’ in the latest edition of the independent legal directory, the Legal 500.

Speaking about her promotion, Lindsay said:

Lindsay continued:

The firm also celebrates the promotion of residential property associate Joanna Staples to senior associate position. Joanna, who has been with the firm since 2010, is part of Steele Raymond’s prestigious residential property team and has considerable experienced in complex residential property acquisitions, sales and guiding clients through the often stressful conveyancing process.

Steele Raymond has also seen three lawyers promoted to associate.

Dispute resolution solicitor Alice Toop is promoted to associate. Alice joined the firm in 2016 and is a graduate of the firm’s award-winning trainee solicitor programme, becoming a solicitor in 2018 in the firm’s ‘top tier’ dispute resolution team before making the next step to associate. Alice acts for both individual and business clients on a wide range of commercial and construction disputes and is also a Notary Public.

Family lawyer Michelle Bettell, who joined Steele Raymond in 2017, has also been appointed to associate. Michelle has considerable experience dealing with all family matters and is a specialist in court proceedings and disputes concerning unmarried couples as well as having a thriving practice in relation to children disputes, divorce and financial matters. Michelle is also a very experienced accredited Mediator and is qualified, where it is considered appropriate, to consult with children within the mediation process.

Commercial property solicitor Rosanna Parker also becomes an associate following her appointment to the firm’s ‘top tier’ property team in 2016.  Rosanna, another graduate of the firm’s outstanding training programme, has continued her impressive progress at Steele Raymond, dealing with a wide variety of commercial property work with a particular focus on industrial and office estate acquisitions, development and subsequent sales and lettings.
