Newly qualified solicitor joins leading Family Team at Steele Raymond LLP in Bournemouth

Amy, who studied at Bournemouth University for both her law degree and Legal Practice Course (LPC), previously gained experience at the firm during a placement year in 2016 before returning in 2019 to embark upon her two-year training contract, which she has now successfully completed.

During her time at Steele Raymond, Amy has gained valuable experience in a range of legal areas including Private Client, Dispute Resolution and Residential Property as well as gaining experience during two of her seats within the Family Team, which she now joins as a newly qualified solicitor.

Speaking on her appointment, Amy said:

“Since my first experience at Steele Raymond in 2016, I have been interested in family law and throughout my training contract I have gained experience within a range of teams. I am delighted to be moving into the Family Team on a permanent basis as a qualified solicitor.

“I find the work in family law to be very rewarding because you are often supporting people at a really difficult time and I am motivated to try and help find constructive solutions; I really enjoy the human aspect of it”.

Speaking on her experiences as a Steele Raymond trainee, Amy said:

“Everyone at Steele Raymond is so collaborative and approachable, there is no obvious hierarchy which creates an inclusive feeling as truly being part of a team. The training contract is structured so well, and everyone at the firm has been so welcoming and supportive during my training.”

She continued:

“Whenever there have been areas of the law on which I wanted to focus, I have had the opportunity to do so and, despite much of my training contract taking place in the midst of the pandemic, I have never felt that my trainee experience has been negatively impacted and I felt fully supported and integrated, even when working remotely”.

Amy joins the firm’s highly regarded, busy and leading Family Team, who provide specialist divorce, financial and child law advice to clients from across Dorset and the South Coast, as well as to an increasing number of international clients. In her role as a newly qualified family solicitor, Amy will continue to provide Steele Raymond’s clients with advice and representation in a range of matters including divorce, separation, financial settlements and child arrangements.
