Dorset solicitors Steele Raymond LLP have advised the majority shareholders of Ringwood-based Hyphose Limited on the sale of their business to R&G Acquisitions Limited.
Having been established for over 38 years, Hyphose is an industry-leading supplier of fluid power and hoses within the food, farming, construction, manufacturing and marine industries.
Hyphose, who have offices in Ringwood, Poole, Portsmouth and Southampton, will join Lancashire-based R&G Acquisitions Limited the parent company of numerous fluid power companies throughout the UK including Milliennium Couplings Group, Century Hose, Pearson Hydraulics and Hose & Hydraulics Group.
Hyphose Managing Director Steve Grinter said:
“The team at Hyphose have worked hard over the last 38 years to establish the company as one of the leading suppliers of fluid power and it is something that I am personally very proud of. Hyphose has been committed to providing the highest quality products and service so I’m pleased that R&G Acquisitions will be continuing on that journey.”
The transaction was led by partner and company and commercial solicitor Craig Hardman, a recognised and recommended lawyer in the 2019 Legal 500 rankings. The Steele Raymond team assisting on the transaction include commercial solicitor Shaun Guppy, commercial property solicitor and partner Jennifer Rogerson and head of employment law and associate solicitor Amy Cousineau Massey.
Craig said:
“We have had a long-standing relationship with Hyphose for over ten years so we have always been well placed to advise the majority shareholders on their exit plans. Having all of the M&A legal expertise in-house at Steele Raymond does really add value to clients because we were able to manage all of the complex commercial, property and employment matters in a proactive and efficient way, speeding up the whole process throughout. We are really pleased to have assisted Steve Grinter, Dave Johnson and Anna Barwick with the sale and we wish R&G Acquisitions and the team at Hyphose every success for the future.”
Speaking on his experience working with Steele Raymond Steve said: “Having worked with Craig and the team at Steele Raymond for a number of years, the benefit of having a team that know your business is invaluable. The professionalism in which the legal sale process has been undertaken benefitted us greatly and we are delighted with the outcome for all parties.”
The team at Steele Raymond worked closely on the transaction with Justin Levine of TheNonExec who provided corporate finance advisory services and Steve Mills at Mazars on accounting and tax matters.
