Steele Raymond advises Rushton Dog Rescue on Heaven’s Gate Farm Acquisition

Founded in 2007, Somerset-based Rushton Dog Rescue is a charitable organisation dedicated to the rescue and rehoming of abandoned, abused and neglected dogs from all over the world. The acquisition of Heaven’s Gate Farm will enable the expanding charity to save, care for and rehome more dogs and other animals than has previously been possible.

The legal aspects of the purchase were led by commercial property solicitor, Rosanna Parker.

Speaking about the transaction, Rosanna said:

“I was very pleased to act for Rushton Dog Rescue in connection with the acquisition of this new fantastic facility which will provide a sanctuary to animals that have been mistreated and neglected. Rushton Dog Rescue have shown amazing determination and dedication to acquire this property for the wellbeing of these rescue animals.”

Rosanna continues:

“There was a need to deal with this purchase urgently due to the growing number of dogs being rescued and the limited space that the charity had at their existing premises. During the transaction we also had to overcome certain practicalities and constraints due to the restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.”

Rushton Dog Rescue is aiming to rescue more dogs from China for rehoming. The charity is looking for donations towards keeping the dogs safe in boarding in China pending the ability to be able to fly the dogs to the UK.
