Steele Raymond team members appointed to BDJLD committee

02/12/2024

We’re thrilled to announce that Abba Atkin, Trainee Solicitor in our Property Litigation team, and Charlotte Eden, Placement Student, have been appointed as General Committee Members of the Bournemouth & District Junior Lawyers Division (BDJLD) Committee.

This marks Abba’s second consecutive year on the committee, having previously served as the BDJLD Sports Officer, while this is Charlotte’s first appointment.

The BDJLD provides a dynamic platform for junior lawyers, trainees, paralegals, and law students to connect and grow through a variety of events including educational seminars, social gatherings, and charity fundraisers, designed to support professional development and the career growth of its members. It also serves as a voice for junior legal professionals within the local area to address issues and concerns relevant to their progression.

Reflecting on her appointment, Abba said: “I am so excited that I have been elected to stay on the Bournemouth & District Junior Lawyers Division committee. I thoroughly enjoyed my role as the Sports Officer last year and look forward to another year supporting my fellow committee members in my new role as a General Committee Member.

“Over the next year, the committee plan to organise and host various networking, educational and social events for junior lawyers, including our upcoming Christmas Charity Quiz!”

As a firm, we are committed to nurturing talent and supporting the progression of our junior lawyers. We encourage our team to engage in opportunities that will enhance their skills, grow their professional networks, and contribute to the wider legal community.

Congratulations to Abba and Charlotte in their recent appointments and we look forward to seeing all they achieve with the BDJLD over the coming months.
