Graeme is a consultant in our Commercial Property Team.

Graeme has over 25 years’ non-contentious construction law experience gained, initially, in-house as European General Counsel at the European Head Office of Shimizu Corporation, a multi-national Japanese construction company and subsequently as the head of the Construction Law Group at a leading Thames Valley law firm.

Specialisms

  • Drafting and negotiating all documentation involved in construction projects, such as building contracts and sub-contracts, development agreements, collateral warranties, professional appointments, performance bonds and guarantees

  • Supporting dispute resolution lawyers in relation to construction disputes

In Practice

  • Working on a wide variety of projects, in the UK and Europe, including international airports, hospitals and care homes, social housing schemes, schools, academies and universities, bespoke housing developments, housing developments for national developers, car manufacturing plants, distribution warehouses, mobile phone relay centres, hotels and shopping centres

  • Acting for clients in all aspects of construction projects, including banks, developers, contractors, sub-contractors, local authorities, universities and academies and housing associations and also for professional advisers, such as architects and engineers
