Our Commercial team, led by Paula Eckton, translate commercial vision into contractual reality, drafting commercial contracts that protect our client's interests, their objectives, and can be signed by all parties with confidence.

You'll be an experienced commercial Senior Associate, who is able to generate new work. You'll want to take part in business development activities and will be excited by helping to grow our offering and the team itself.

In addition, you'll be pragmatic in your approach and commercially astute. The firm places great value on long-standing working relationships with clients and in this line of work in particular, our clients often want a quick turn-around of work. You'll have experience of balancing responsiveness and commerciality, without compromising on the quality of what you deliver.

We're looking for a Commercial Property Partner or Senior Associate, with an established client following and a desire to play an instrumental role in growing our team and mentoring more junior lawyers.

Led by Luc Algar, our Commercial Property team advise investors, occupiers, lenders and developers across the entire property lifecycle. With one of the biggest property teams on the South Coast, Commercial Property and Residential Development work side by side with Planning, Construction and Property Disputes plugged in from the start.

Due to the volume and quality of instructions during 2024, the team, alongside their Residential Development colleagues, won Property Legal Team of the Year at The Business Magazine’s South Coast Property Awards 2025.

To join our expanding Risk and Compliance team, we’re looking for a Solicitor or Legal Executive.

You must be a solicitor (or chartered legal executive) and have:

• Significant experience working in a risk and compliance role within a law firm. Alternatively, you must have post qualification litigation experience.
• A detailed understanding of the SRA’s Standards and Regulations, AML regulations, Data Protection legislation and any other relevant legislation and professional rules.
• Ideally, experience in leading Data Protection compliance within an organisation.
• Ideally, experience in designing and implementing compliance policies, controls and procedures.
• Experience of operating at a senior level, as part of a management team.

Our specialist Contentious Trust & Probate Team, led by Louise Maidment, sits within our Private Client Group, alongside our Wills, Trusts & Probate and Estate Planning & Tax teams.

The team acts for private individuals, trustees, executors, deputies and attorneys in relation to a range of contentious matters. Their work includes all aspects of contentious probate and trusts, 1975 Act claims and extends to Court of Protection matters.

We're seeking another Partner, or Senior Associate, to work with Louise to grow the team.

You will have experience working on a wide variety of contentious probate, likely from working at a regional or national firm, and have a strong network of referrers.

Our Dispute Resolution team, led by Amelia Williams, focus on constructive engagement - whether through mediation, round-table discussions, or other forms of alternative dispute resolution. 

We’re looking for individuals who ideally have at least five years of commercial litigation experience.

You will have gained this working on a  wide variety of disputes, for businesses, organisations and individuals, likely at a regional or national firm.

You will also enjoy business development and have a track record of providing the highest quality of client care.

We've significantly grown in the last few years by attracting brilliant new partners and senior team members from other regional and national firms – all experts in their field.

Our Employment team, working shoulder to shoulder with our Corporate and Commercial teams, see how employment risk affects deals, growth funding and succession. That breadth ensures we give our clients, employers and senior executives, straight answers and actionable plans.  

Due to a partner retiral, we're looking to recruit a Partner to join the team and lead and help grow our employment offering.

You will have excellent contentious, non contentious and advisory employment experience, alongside a strong network of contacts and excellent BD skills.

Head of Team, Daniel Sanders, leads the Family team that brings together divorce and financial settlement specialists, expert mediators, and child law practitioners. The team's complementary styles, shared commitment to constructive solutions for clients  means the team is one of the most respected family teams on the South coast.

We're looking for an experienced Family Partner undertaking financial remedy, private children and ideally TOLATA work who:

• has a proven track record of managing a busy and varied caseload and managing technical and factual complexities arising within the cases
• enjoys business development activities, promoting the work of the team and winning new work
• is excited by working in a supportive and open team environment and developing and mentoring those more junior in the team
• ideally is already trained in mediation or another form of ADR, or would like to become a mediator.

To further strengthen our Residential Conveyancing team, we're looking for a Senior Associate who has broad experience in a wide variety of residential property transactions.

You'll be a qualified solicitor, capable of handling a diverse and busy caseload from start to finish, including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, and new builds. You'll have established relationships with clients, estate agents and other solicitors and will relish communicating regularly with all parties, keeping progress visible.

The team, led by Holly Dennis, sits within our Individuals and Families Group, alongside our Family and Private Client teams. They also work very closely with the wider Property Group, comprising our Residential Development, Commercial Property, Construction and Property Dispute teams.
