Book Club Culture

Shared language gives our teams real momentum. From Associates Day to firm-wide book clubs, people learn together, talk openly about pressure and burnout, and turn ideas into practical changes that make daily work more sustainable.
Developers, investors and housebuilders across the South Coast already rely on Steele Raymond’s property teams to get deals over the line. Their continuous results have been recognised with the Property Legal Team of the Year award at The Business Magazine’s South Coast Property Awards 2025.

The firm was selected from law firms across the region in recognition of its specialist expertise and commitment to clients in both commercial property and residential development.
The award recognised the volume and quality of instructions from the Commercial Property and Residential Development teams during 2024. During this period, the teams were instructed to act in relation to over 1,200 commercial and development property transactions.
Judges said that the firm’s “industry knowledge, growth, and the deals they’ve been involved with are impressive. This is a diverse and impressive firm which has recently expanded into Southampton after having taken a year to consolidate.”
Emma Stainwright, Partner, and Head of Residential development commented: “I am absolutely thrilled to have won this award; this is testament to the passion, dedication and teamwork displayed by our incredible property teams at Steele Raymond and is the icing on the cake after a busy 2024.”
Jennifer Rogerson, Managing Partner, said: “I am absolutely delighted that we won the Property Legal Team of the Year award! We have a phenomenal property team here at Steele Raymond and the quality of work produced by the teams speaks for itself. Huge congratulations to the team, this is very well deserved and thank you to The Business Magazine for the recognition.”
Our commercial property group is led by nine commercial property partners including Managing Partner Jennifer Rogerson. The group now comprises a total team of thirty-two people.
The event which was held on Thursday 12th June at the Hilton Utilita Bowl, brought together a variety of industry leaders from across the commercial property sector, including developers, agents, planners, property lawyers, consultants, and housebuilders. The ninth annual awards celebrated winners across fifteen categories and was hosted by the Business Magazine in partnership with Insider.
