South Coast law firm Steele Raymond has been shortlisted for the ‘Property Law Firm of the Year’ accolade at both the South Coast Property Awards and the South West Property Awards.
This double recognition for the work of the firm’s Property Group, which comprises the firm’s specialist commercial property, residential development, property litigation and residential property teams, comes after a year of significant growth both in terms of personnel and high-profile transactions. The Group has welcomed four new partners in this time and is actively seeking to attract further top legal talent.
The nomination for the regional South West Property Awards (SWPA) is a first for the firm and highlights its increase in profile across the South West. The awards ceremony, which recognises and celebrates the outstanding achievements of people, businesses and organisations from across the South West region, is to take place in Bristol on the 13 November and will see Steele Raymond go up against notable competition in large and national law firms such as Ashfords, Bevan Brittan, Michelmores, Foot Anstey and TLT.
Speaking on the SWPA nomination, Chris Twaits, partner and head of the firm’s Commercial Property Team, said:
“We are very proud to have received these award nominations which are testament to the hard work and expertise of our teams who consistently deliver for our real estate clients.”
“The creation of a fantastic culture and work environment has been fundamental to the Group’s success. The Group provides a highly supportive and team-focused environment, encouraging team members to support each other in delivering the highest quality of client service. It is my strong belief that creating a fantastic internal culture is a critical part of delivering outstanding client service”.
News of the firm’s shortlisting in the South West Property Awards came hot on the heels of another nomination for ‘Property Law Firm of the Year’ at the South Coast Property Awards (SCPA), an annual awards ceremony aimed at celebrating ‘the cream of professional talent’ across the region.
To be held at the Hilton Ageas Bowl on 29 September, the SCPA recognises standout contributions from property agents, developers, planners, consultants, property lawyers and dealmakers across the South Coast.
Chris Twaits commented:
“Our entire focus as a firm and as a Property Group has been to provide excellent client service as consistently as possible by delivering our services through very experienced and capable senior property lawyers who are able to develop long-term, strong relationships with the firm’s clients. It is great that our capability and strength has again been recognised at a regional level.
“Over the last twelve months we have been delighted to attract and welcome partners Holly Dennis, Christine Kessler-Robinson, Martin Logan and David Crockford. Expanding the Group with such skilled and experienced property lawyers will allow us to continue our growth and delivery of market-leading real estate services across our markets.”
