Steele Raymond rounds off excellent 2023 with three senior hires

23/11/2023

Leading regional law firm Steele Raymond has bolstered its growth momentum with three strategic hires across its residential, private client and business services teams.

New Residential Property partner Tim Higham, a seasoned expert in residential property law from Trethowans, brings a wealth of experience in conveyancing, sales, purchases, mortgages, and rights over land. Playing a pivotal role in growing Trethowans’ conveyancing outfit, Tim’s arrival marks a new milestone in Steele Raymond’s residential property capabilities.

Senior Associate Jane Lynch joins the firm’s Wills, Trusts and Probate team from Reading firm Parfitt Cresswell. Jane is an experienced private client solicitor with extensive expertise in advising high-net-worth individuals and complex family dynamics on their wills, trusts and probate needs.

Understanding business services’ vital role in a law firm’s success, Steele Raymond has also welcomed Marketing Manager Rachel Hadfield to the team. Rachel has a background in professional services marketing and PR, having most recently held the position of Head of Marketing, South at Azets. With over 15 years of experience, Rachel deeply understands the South region and its market.

Of the appointments, Jennifer Rogerson, Managing Partner of Steele Raymond, said: “2023 has been a pivotal year for Steele Raymond. The addition of Tim, Jane, and Rachel marks a cornerstone in our strategic growth.”

“These appointments, alongside other key recruitments and promotions, underscore our commitment to delivering top-tier legal services, ready to meet the evolving needs of our clients.”

“With our expanded team, we are poised to continue our trajectory as a leading law firm in the South.”

The three new hires are the latest additions in a stellar year for Steele Raymond’s growth trajectory. Other high-profile recruitments from 2023 include Residential Development partners Paul Hinett and Emma Pope, associate Henry Barker and solicitor Minaz-Parol Rahman. These arrivals have made Steele Raymond’s Residential Development team the largest in the South.

Steele Raymond has also focused on building out its private client outfit with top-tier talent, having recruited partner Kelly Greig as head of the Estate Planning & Tax team earlier this year.

The firm promoted Shaun Guppy and Amelia Williams to the partnership in April. With Tim’s appointment, Steele Raymond’s partnership now numbers 25.
