Two Further Appointments Make Steele Raymond’s Residential Development Team Largest in the South

Following the recent appointment of Residential Development Partner Emma Pope from Paris Smith, her former colleagues, Henry and Minaz, have now both made the move from Southampton to Bournemouth.

Henry, who trained at Paris Smith and subsequently qualified into the firm’s commercial property team, makes the move as a 6-year PQE associate solicitor. Minaz, also a former Paris Smith trainee, joins Steele Raymond as a solicitor 11 months after qualifying, also into commercial property. Prior to embarking upon her two-year training contract, Minaz gained invaluable experience as a commercial property finance paralegal.

Commenting on the decision to join Steele Raymond, Henry said:

“I previously worked alongside Emma [Pope], assisting her on permitted development matters and refinancing for some development clients, so the opportunity to work with her again whilst developing in a new and specialist area of law was a big pull.”

He continued:

“Having recently moved to Bournemouth, and with my family and many of my friends living in the area, the change of firms made sense on a number of levels. Steele Raymond offer a refreshing work-life balance, whilst maintaining the high standards of work for the calibre of clients one might expect.”

Minaz, who also lives in Bournemouth, said of her decision to join Steele Raymond:

“It was always my intention to eventually move to Bournemouth and when Emma [Pope] informed me of her appointment, I felt the time was right. As I approach the one-year mark as a qualified solicitor, it’s a great time for me to be joining a new firm where I can learn from the best; I’m very excited.”

Asked about her first impressions of the firm, Minaz said:

“Everything Henry and I were told about the firm prior to our arrival has proved to be true; everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming and there is a fantastic atmosphere around the office.”
