Leading Dorset commercial solicitors Steele Raymond LLP has once again been recognised as one of Dorset and the South West's leading law firms in the latest edition of independent industry bible The Legal 500 for the 11th consecutive year.
The firm has been awarded the highest possible “Top Tier” ranking that the Guide awards in its main commercial areas of Company Commercial, Commercial Property and Dispute Resolution, underlining its continuing dominance in these areas. This is the 11th consecutive year that Steele Raymond has received top tier rankings, with the guide also providing recommendations and positive comments in the areas of Employment, Family, Private Client, Education and Property Litigation.
Underlining how much the Steele Raymond team has grown over the past year, special recognition was given to several new members of the team including property litigation specialist Simone Ritchie and family Partner Julie-Ann Harris, who was recommended in Family Law across the whole of the South West and described as ‘a fantastic husband solicitor’ with a ‘great working knowledge of companies, pensions and trusts’.
Steele Raymond’s commercial property team is ‘first class on all fronts’ with Partner Chris Twaits being recognised as a Leading Individual and having ‘a great knowledge of the industry’. Sue Middleton was recognised for her ‘speedy’ and ‘extremely knowledgeable’ work with high-net-worth individuals, developers and housebuilders, whilst newly promoted Partner Emma Stainwright and Consultant John Daniels were also both highly recommended for their commercial property work.
Chairman Tim Stone, also recognised as Leading Individual, is described as ‘excellent’ and ‘gets straight to the point’ for specialist corporate and commercial work. Partner Nick Davies is also recommended.
The Legal 500 has been published for over twenty years, providing the most comprehensive coverage currently available on legal service providers. Used by commercial and private clients, corporate counsel, CEOs, FDs and professional advisers – both nationally and internationally – the series is widely regarded as offering the definitive reference work on UK law firms.
Rankings are determined by the Legal 500 through a combination of submissions made by solicitors demonstrating the quality and depth of their work and client base, as well as independent interviews carried out with clients themselves.
Commenting on the latest rankings, Chairman Tim Stone said:
“Following an excellent year of growth and success for the firm, I am once again delighted to see this independent recognition of Steele Raymond’s dominant position at the heart of commercial law in Dorset and the South Coast. We have once again received the highest possible ‘Top Tier’ ranking that the Guide awards in our three core practice areas, and as the team has grown we’ve achieved better results than ever for our many other areas of expertise including Family and Property Litigation. All this is the result of a great team effort and something that we can all be very proud of.”
